
As the noon sun shone bright overhead, a six inch fish faced off with a fourteen inch turtle. The turtle had settled in the fish nest and I wondered if it was a threat to the eggs I imagine the fish is protecting. The fish would lunge at the snapper, trying to send it on its way. The turtle took its sweet time, but finally moseyed along.
In the evening sun, as her chicks swayed in their sack nest, the mama Baltimore Oriole alighted, bringing dinner to her babies.

And, as these days of summer drift through time, the Canada Geese goslings are looking more and more able to sustain on their own.
