Sunny Springtime Day

It rained for six days straight, the sun finally shining again on Friday. Everything had a new look about it as spring had continued to unfold through the downpours and claps of thunder.

This time of year, the leaves look perfect to me. They are not wilting with thirst, nor chewed around the edges by bugs, nor diminishing in color as the fall comes on. In meditation, I will think about the color green, the color of healing, when I’m not feeling well. The image above is exactly as I see green in those moments.

Even the camera was happy to see the blue, and captured it just as it looked to me.

I was surprised to see the delicate flowers and smell the heavenly scent of honeysuckle so soon. Maybe it’s the right time but it seems to me that generally it’s further along in the season before it’s sweet scent fills the air.

March’s Cold, Wind and Snow = Blue Skies!

The only consolation about March’s chilly temperatures was the beautiful blue of the sky that came with each frigid day. I suspect, too, that the rain and snow that fell from the skies through March cleared out dust and dirt, leaving a clean view through the atmosphere. The sky was a silvery blue and, one day, had a touch of lavender in it.

The picture at the top of this post clearly shows the gradation of blues that spanned from the horizon to straight overhead. In the series of pictures below, I moved the camera – in increments – from the horizon at the treeline to directly overhead in five shots. Enjoy the ever deepening blues!
