It seemed as if I were seeing spheres in everything today.

It began when I looked up from my computer
and, through a skylight, saw the orb above in a pine.
The late afternoon light gave it a golden glow.
I went outside to try and figure out what it was and took the photo below.
I think it is some sort of web nest, about five inches in diameter.

Even the shrub below, which looks as if it did not survive winter,
has the round shape that my mind seemed to be focused on today.
I have walked by this bush scores of times and not noticed its bulbous shape.

Blueberries now fill their shrubs –

While the star shaped center of the blossom below caught my eye,
as I looked through the camera lens, I thought I was seeing a water droplet.
But at closer look, it’s a small green ball, a pod perhaps.
