Sunny Springtime Day

It rained for six days straight, the sun finally shining again on Friday. Everything had a new look about it as spring had continued to unfold through the downpours and claps of thunder.

This time of year, the leaves look perfect to me. They are not wilting with thirst, nor chewed around the edges by bugs, nor diminishing in color as the fall comes on. In meditation, I will think about the color green, the color of healing, when I’m not feeling well. The image above is exactly as I see green in those moments.

Even the camera was happy to see the blue, and captured it just as it looked to me.

I was surprised to see the delicate flowers and smell the heavenly scent of honeysuckle so soon. Maybe it’s the right time but it seems to me that generally it’s further along in the season before it’s sweet scent fills the air.
